Exclamation CDM750 issue....

ok i got my CDM 750 vhf 25w, and it just started to produce static, i cannot TX/RX, but radio does boot. i cannot hear wether its passing or failing self test, i would assume failing. it functions like it should, just no TX/RX, or system beeps, all static. i belive it could be the connecting ribbon running between the chassis, and the control head. btw, the radio is NOT setup for remote head. SOMEONE HELP!!!!!!

verify you have a GOOD ground and good 12v. other than that if it is internal it is time for a radio shop.

could the data cable going from the radio to the control head be the issue? or is it a power issue, that caused an internal issue?

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.2.2; en-us; Droid Build/FRG83G) AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/533.1)

Sounds like an EEPROM CS ERROR to me.

Newer CPS versions have default codeplugs. You could try to write one of those to the radio and see what happens. Since the 750 doesn't have a display I'm uncertain how the radio would represent the EEPROM CS ERROR. Perhaps a series of beeps or a tone. I've had some CDM1250's go EEPROM CS ERROR on me and the default codeplugs fix that issue every time. You will be starting from scratch for your programming but that's not a huge issue with the 4 channel 750. Good luck.
