Default EF Johnson 800 mhz

Is EF Johnson made by Motorola?

A local FD in my area is successfully using an EF Johnson 800 mhz portable radio with our provincial Trunked Mobile Radio System. This is the first time I have ever seen the Trunked system on something other then Motorola.

Just looking for input from others.

We used EF Johnson 7780's pre rebanding and EF Johnson 5100's post rebanding on our Motorola Type 2 trunked system. The radios were EF Johnson and used EF Johnson software. There was nothing that suggested they were made by Motorola. They did license the rights to use the Type 2 trunking system in the radios.
