Default What are these?

These radios were given to our Fire department for use in personal vehicals. The only problem is we are unsure what freqency they are running on or if we can even use them. We are running on VHF 151.xxx. I was unsure if the pictures I provided will help any Motorola people out there help me figure out if these are able to be used. Thanks!

What I have found out for you is it's a 440 ham repeater set up. Look at the page I sent and the pic it is the same face on this radio.

Looks as if the D04 radio is UHF and the D37 is 900 mHz.

The D04 is a 2 watt 8-16 channel 440mz radio and the D37 is also a low power but 900 mz radio.

Neither of these will work for you if you are looking for a 151mz radio.

Can you check with who gave these to you to confurm what they are?

Neither of them can be used for your fire department as they are the wrong band. The UHF Radius is not capable of narrowband operation either.

Not to mention, even if they were VHF, the Maxtrac/Radius mobile line are wideband only and after January of 2013 are totally useless for part 90 as they aren't narrowband. The one exception is the GM300 if ordered with the 12.5KHz option, but these don't do splinter channels.
