Default Minitor V alerting without tone activation

One of my fire fighters reported to me that he was listening to his pager on "open channel" and there were no tones or other radio traffic, but his pager started vibrating for no reason. Any idea what may have caused this? My only thought is maybe picking up some sort of interference from something? Thanks for any input!

Probably interference of some kind, or the battery might be getting low. Charge the minitor and it will probably solve your problem.

Every Minitor V that my department has wil "false trip" routinely. Either the "beep beep beep" or the long solid beep. It usually lasts for no more than one second. After talking to Moto several times, there is no solution yet that I am aware of.

Everyone of ours at our department does it. It's irritating at 3am. Mine actually will beep once or a musical tone and then the squelch stays open.

Minitor V's are known for false activating randomly. Everyone claims they are the best, but I beg to differ.

Default Minitor V alerting without tone activation

The only reason I carry one is because my alpha won't activate at work and I don't want to lose or brake it. At least with the minitor, I can do the one arm in the air reception dance

I had to adjust the SENSE levels in a few to prevent ghost pages

I did the "shift S" option last week and have not had a false activation since. I think I set it to level 1
