Wirelessly posted (Opera/9.80 (Android 4.0.4; Linux; Opera Mobi/ADR-1301080958) Presto/2.11.355 Version/12.10)

Go to bat labs and look up model specific information and it should show the portable pin out. You will probably need an old speaker Mic or something to connect to the radio.

Before you go chopping up that CDM programming cable, check Ebay for USB programming cables for the HT750, 1250, and 1550. They're always a bunch up there, and it may be cheaper and easier to buy one instead of hunting around for the HT mic connector and then trying to wire it up to work properly.

You can sell off the USB/CDM cable if you don't need it and lower your cost even more.

Default Bits in the Tip

I believe I have read a time or two that ribless cables have electronics in the plugs that make them ribless. There's a RIB box in the cable. Just making a cable may not work.

The Blackbox cable can be had at ebay for about $20.00. It will also do the HYT and a few other Moto radios.

It can be had in both 9 pin serial and usb.

All USB cables have a mirco TTL converter in them for the specific radio series. It is not easy to 'rebuild' one cable for another radio.

Spend the $18 to $30 for the correct cable. Check kawamall on e-bay I have had very good service and luck with them
