New to a Motorola XTS 2500

I was bought a Motorola XTS 2500 800/700 radio for Christmas and I had been programmed to what I needed in it but I wanted to add something else into it, once the person hooked it up to their computer it promoted him for a password. I didn't know there was such a thing. Is there a way to reset the radio or a way to by pass the password? Any help with this would be great !

You need to ask the person who programmed the radio for you the last time. They have locked your radio down so only they can play. If that is not an option you may need to start reading through this thread on P25.ca. It may or may not be of help to you.

Thanks ill take a look but the guy who programmed it said he'd had no problem doing it but made it so it couldn't transmit and now he's saying he wasn't aware of a password and may need to see it to take it off. I was just wondering if there was a way around it because I can't keep holding this other guy who can put something else into it up. I didn't know if there was a master reset or not. Thanks !
