Default 16 Channel HT750. Basic Programming information needed.

I plan to program a HT750. Its perfect as 16 channel radio cause I need to program 16 frequencies. I need to know what the basic requirements in RSS/CPS for the HT750 is for programming to transmit and receive. Radiorefrence lists most of the frequencies as Base/Mobiles or Repeater/Mobiles. I am used to programming Motorola Minitor V's not radios. Any information someone can give me towards what basic information needs to be programmed into a radio before it can be used to transmit and receive?

The HT-750 is pretty darn easy to program. All you really need to know is the Transmit/Receive frequencies and the PL's to go along with them, and what you want your buttons to do. If you want to add MDC (if the radio has the feature enabled) you can add that too. There's not much more to them.

If you need more detailed info feel free to Private Message me. I just did a bunch of these radios.

RadioRefrence lists the frequencies for my area. Are there usually two different receive and transmits frequencies, because I heard some people transmit on a different frequency then what they receive on in their towns. I programmed a ham radio for a friend as a test once and put the receive and transmit frequency as the same frequency and the receiving radio queued up. Is this not the same in all cases/towns?

The TRANSMIT frequency in the Database is the RECEIVE frequency in your radio.

Things are different everywhere. Relying on what seems to work in one area is no guarantee that the same thing will work at all in another.

Since you don't seem to be even remotely familiar with the radio system in your area that you want to have in your radio, I am going to suggest that you find someone LOCAL who knows about the local system. Have him or her write down the exact frequencies and PL tones for each receive and transmit pair (channel). Then have the radio programmed with that information.

Programmed it and used it just fine. I'm now learning about the "zones" so I can get use of the last two channels 15 and 16.

One other major issue that I overlooked: You also need to determine what type of system you are setting the radio up to be used in. If it is anything other than conventional analog, the HT750 will not do.

I am repeating myself here, but find someone local who can tell you about your local system in sufficient detail to then have your radio properly programmed. Since you have not even bothered to tell us where you are, either in a post or in your profile so it would show with every post you make like mine does and many others do, we here in the forum can only speculate and guess at how to help you.
