I'm new to working with Motorola radios so I am probably just missing something simple. I have a box of Motorola EX560-XLS radios that are 25 kHz bandwidth that I have been tasked with converting to 12.5 before putting them back into service.
The problem I'm running into is that I get an error when I try to save to the radio. I go through line by line and change the bandwidth in the conventional personalities to 12.5 for each of the 16 channels. When I save I get this message: Due to FCC narrowbanding only 12.5 kHz... and then a pop up showing the CPS operation has failed.
I'm not sure where my problem is, I am using the CPS R06.12.09 from Motorola's website. I have been successful with our old PR400 radios. But I must be missing something because as far as I can tell all the bands are changed in the fields modified report.
What am I doing wrong?
