It it probably receiving the DMR signal and DECODING that. There are a few privacy options in MOTOTRBO and I have not seen anything that will unencrypt.

Lets also not forget piper9285 that decrypting encrypted signals is illegal and not something permitted to discuss on the forum.

No... it was DECODING the signal, not DECRYPTING. The software is DSDPlus and it decodes multiple digital formats, but will not decrypt anything.

So Forts, does that mean a person could conceivably decode the signal, copy the necessary information to sort out the different talk groups, and rebroadcast that signal in the same manner that people do with smart phone apps that simulate scanners?

Here's my point, except for FRS, Disney is very unfriendly towards any other form of radio transceiver/receiver in their parks, So I'm thinking that if a person could use their cellphone to do the work, the problem is solved.

I already have echolink for ham radio, and so now, all I need do is make Disney accessible so that I know what's going on around the park in the event of an emergency. Call it part nosey, and part being prepared if you like.

The problem with Disney is their system is encrypted. That stops everything right there. But on an unencrypted signal yes, it could be streamed to a phone.
