Question General Programming Question

I have a question for the group, I have started going through my backroom to find things that I no longer need or that I have revivied interest in and one item I found and decided to check out was some of my old programming software.

Well, it's the type that needs an older computer to run on. So, I pulled out my old computer and found that the HD has died or at least the controller card. Now, I thought at one time I saw and ad for software that would allow the newer computers to run slower to run this software. Well, for the life of me I can locate the ad for that software.

The question I pose is, has anyone seen or used this type of software and can point me in the right direction to obtain it. I have tried the local computer shows to find a slower laptop, but not having luck. I do have slower desktops (havn't trashed any of those - they make a nice art piece) but having no luck with the laptop.

Any help would be appricated.

I boot my Dell Laptop (P4 1.7Ghz) to DOS using a USB and have had no problems progarmming any radio.

I have also used DOS Box in Windows and it works for most aplications but not on every radio.

Both of these solutions can be found on Batlabs.

Found a link to this from Batlabs:

I am not sure if it would work.

I boot from a DOS CD on a Dell D820 and have programmed the Jedi series radios, need to test a DOS window inside virtual PC. Before ver 4 of the 1225 software came out I was using a windows 98 window in virtual PC to program 1225 repeaters.
