hi knew to trunk tracking im in the strathclyde area and have a bct 15 and can only get the scottish ambulance service i have the control channel base frequancey an that but cannot seem to get both sides of the conversation i use trunkview program

any help would very grateful thanks

Hi,

Are you successfully decoding the control channel via Trunkview and getting GTC commands?

Does the radio then change to the voice frequency and you only hear the base side?

If so it's likely that control are line feed straight into the system therefore the mobile wont be repeated.

You can allways scan the input if the mobile is close and still recieve it. Inputs are around 171mhz.

Ive added a few here but don't have the details of who they are for or the control channels.

If you do find out i'd be interested to know so I can update the database.

Trunking can be found in all frequency bands so its worth scanning around and see if you can pick up the distinctive MPT1427 control channel.

Currently stuck in Miami but when I'm back in the UK I'll check my notes for Scottish trunked nets.
Off the top of my head: there are more systems over on the east than the west. Main ones that spring to mind to the west are Glasgow council which operates quite a busy stystem (Hamilton also uses a system that could be linked), ambo (quite a few control channels should be clear where you are), fire & rescue status system
