Default getting started with MPT1327

since I found no basic info around, I thought I'd put my notes online:
http://www.tarapippo.net/mpt1327/MPT1327.html

hopefully I'll make some progress and expand them soon

We also have a MPT-1327 wiki page (just click on the blue text). How about combining your data with this? Be sure to 'Create an Account' (when you go to the wiki, you'll see that in the upper right corner of the screen; note that it is free ) first. Our Trunked Radio decoders wiki page also has a few packages that reportedly works on this mode. 73s Mike

Maybe because I'm in Europe too but Sinager's page loads in a small fraction of the time it takes for any of your "wiki" pages to load Mike. This being the case it would be better to have a link on your "wiki" to his pages.

Probably so; I have no problems bringing the wiki up at all, and I'm on a pokey dial up.

Feel free to make any changes you wish on that page. Be sure to register with the wiki first (you will see a 'Create An Account' link in the upper right hand corner of the page), and download the quick editing guide off the main page (the first one you come to when you click on 'Wiki' in the blue toolbar) to give you a quick course in Wiki speak.

That's what this page is for. After all we don't have all that many 1327 systems here in the US.

Mike, another link for your decoding software "wiki" page (and strong signals page if you still do that):

http://www.linato.net/trunkview/

It's the vbtrunk derivative of tronkito given a windows front-end.

Actually I tied that section of the Strong Signals page to the Trunked Radio decoders directly; it's a little less work that way, and it changes far less than some of the other sections.

Thanks for the link - go ahead, register and add it yourself using the instructions I posted earlier. That is what the Wiki is all about. 73s Mike

No thanks Mike, as stated earlier the site is far too slow for me to bother with on a remotely regular basis and happy to let you do the work.

testing Trunkview now... works great !
It a bit of a shame that the info page is in nederlandese only, but getting it to work is not a problem

Seems to be the vbtrunk flavour of tronkito but with a GUI and addition of an "adjacent sites" log. Having a GUI will make it a lot easier for windows users to get to grips with I guess. Shame it uses XML....but that's a small price to pay for easier access to the program for newbies.
