Default TrunkSniffer V2.0 released

Hi all,

Just to let you know that I've released V2.0 of TrunkSniffer, which adds amongst many others the following new features:

- Stereo recording, allows simultaneous decoding of control and traffic channel signalling, and also call audio recording to disk in dual-receiver mode.
- Network Hunter, which scans a user-defined frequency range for all TSCs and networks, showing a grouped list by network OPID when finished. Results are saved to log file.
- Full support for Nokia Actionet networks. All that is required is the FPP and MEP, and TrunkSniffer does the rest. Creating fleets is as simple as entering a single ANN belonging to the fleet. Decoded data is shown in ANN numbering format.
- Support for custom channel plans, with automatic logical channel number identification. Enter the list of known traffic channel frequencies, and TrunkSniffer will scan each one and extract the channel number.
- Traffic channel occupancy monitor - when enabled, the second receiver is used to scan all the traffic channels under the control of the selected TSC, and their status (busy / free) is shown by a green / red LED in the panel.

Other improvements include:

- Significant increase in scanning and searching speed, skipping non-busy channels.
- Changed the tuning wheel operation: click right and left mouse buttons to tune up or down, hold down to fast tune.
- When using the BC780XLT, the idents and prefix of the tracked GTC are shown on the LCD display.
- In dual-receiver mode, GTCs received on the control channel after the traffic receiver has been tuned to a GTC are shown by a yellow LED on the corresponding channel number, which stays on for 20 seconds. The channel number tooltip contains the idents in the new GTCs, and it can be tuned by clicking the channel number.
- Improved menu operation, and fixed some stability issues.

You can see a full list of fixes and improvements in the version history at http://www.trunksniffer.com/ts_history.html

Users who registered and chose to receive updated information will have received an email with the download link to the new version. If your trial has expired, you will get another 12 days to try V2.0 - no further trial extensions will be issued.

If you haven't yet downloaded it, or chose not to receive updated information, please download it http://www.trunksniffer.com/ts_download.asp

As usual, comments, bug reports and requests welcome.

Regards,

Mike
