You are right I was seeing exactly what that database shows. I had forgot that there were 2 channels per frequency.

Is anyone getting traffic from the Waynesboro site? I'm closer to Waynesboro than Shippensburg but haven't gotten traffic from the Waynesboro site yet.

Have you programmed it in based upon the information in the wiki, or the information in the DB? The DB only contains confirmed data -- so there may be multiple LCNs (frequencies) active on that particular site that might not be listed in the DB. And hte wiki has the correct LCN order.

DB:
043 (2B) Waynesboro Franklin, PA 01 454.250c

WIKI:
LCN = 1 TX = 454.25000 RX = 459.25000 DCC = 10 CC
LCN = 2 TX = 464.30000 RX = 469.30000 DCC = 10 CC
LCN = 3 TX = 464.60000 RX = 469.60000 DCC = 10 CC
LCN = 4 TX = 454.47500 RX = 459.47500 DCC = 10 CC

Make sure you have all four frequencies programmed in, with the proper LCN and a DCC of 10.

I was using the DB. I updated Waynesboro and Shippensburg from the wiki, and will see what happens.

Also keep in mind that if you are using location-based scanning and a talkgroup is listed in the DB under a specific county not close to you, you aren't going to hear it even if it comes up on the site you are listening to.

If you are really interested in making sure you are hearing whatever is happening on any of those sites, make sure an add a wildcard (or use ID SEARCH in Uniden terms).

Jon,

Also, if you would be so kind, if you do confirm that one or more frequencies on one of those sites is active (but not listed in the actual DB), please let us know the site and frequency(s) that you see active so that we can go ahead and add them to the DB.

You should not expect all frequencies for all sites listed in the wiki to be active. but what you do find active and can confirm, please submit so that we can make the DB a little more reliable.

Thanks

mike

I have ID Search turn on on all trunked systems, so I know if new talkgroups are added. I've logged traffic on several unlisted talkgroups, but haven't heard enough traffic to give them even a tentative label.

Everything I've heard so far is from the Shippensburg site, on 452.3250 and 461.7500. No traffic at all from Waynesboro on any freq.

I'm in Chambersburg if it matters.

In the area and found the Salisbury Maryland (Site 53) and Dagsboro Delaware (Site 52) sites. Info has been submitted.

Salisbury seemed pretty quiet but I am seeing at least one talkgroup on the Dagsboro site (3600).

Haven't followed site 43 in a while but the last time I did this is what I had - https://forums.radioreference.com/2758185-post223.html

There wasn't much traffic on the site Monday - Friday, basically none on the weekend

Default Site 57 - McConnellsburg PA (Fulton)

Site 57 is likely McConnellsville PA

From Network Map:

Site 141-57 Unknown

Neighbor List:

LCN = 1 TX = 454.45000 RX = 459.45000 DCC = 5 CC
LCN = 2 TX = 463.32500 RX = 468.32500 DCC = 5 CC
LCN = 3 TX = 464.00000 RX = 469.00000 DCC = 5 CC

FCC License WRAA246

Triangle also filed a construction notification suggesting that the site is built out.

I updated the wiki to add the name of site 57 in the network map.

Default Site 56 - investigating FCC records

I didn't bother to check DE/MD/NJ yet, just PA.

From the Network Map:

Site 141-56 Unknown

Neighbor List:

LCN = 1 TX = 452.45000 RX = 457.45000 DCC = 4 CC
LCN = 2 TX = 452.72500 RX = 457.72500 DCC = 4 CC
LCN = 3 TX = 452.97500 RX = 457.97500 DCC = 4 CC

WPME254 is a trunked license (Mol, James) having all three of these frequencies on it. Site is Waymart PA in Wayne Co. The interesting thing is that the contact for licensee James Mol is Triangle Communications. So perhaps 141-56 is / will be a site up in Wayne Co. Incidentally, the site is up on the hill with Waymart Wind Farm.

Thank you sir. Is there any chance that you (or anyone else reading this who is potentially within earshot of McConnellsville) could see if you can find a control channel active on one of the McConnellsville frequencies?

LCN = 1 TX = 454.45000 RX = 459.45000 DCC = 5 CC
LCN = 2 TX = 463.32500 RX = 468.32500 DCC = 5 CC
LCN = 3 TX = 464.00000 RX = 469.00000 DCC = 5 CC

If anyone does, please submit your findings.

In my mind the site is online, but my mind differs from the requirements set forth by RR so we need some proof it is online.

Thanks!

I do copy a CC on 454.4500 DCC 5 but that's about the best I can get as I am fairly distant from McConnellsburg PA, about 31 miles in a straight line. Someone closer will have to fill in the blanks as to neighbors etc.

I'm just under 20 miles from McConnellsburg, so I added it to my FL and will monitor it as well. I'm getting a signal, but no traffic yet. I will leave ProScan running and see what I log.

That's good enough for a site add. Thank you!

I've logged the following traffic on the McConnellsburg site:
TG 5046, 5059, and 5061 all on 454.450 CC 5.

Default Site 51 possible location - Harrington DE (Kent)

See the following pending FCC app:

ULS Application - Industrial/Business Pool, Trunked - 0007957327 - Triangle Communications Inc. - Locations Summary

Site 51 (which we know exists and is online with CC of 454.26875) has neighbors of 49, 50, 52, 53, and 54. If you look at this on a map with all of the other sites, this location would make sense as Site 51.

Although there is no way to confirm that other than to wait for the new frequencies on the license to be put to use or to drive to the site location and confirm that 454.26875 is definitely a transmitter at the Harrington site.
