Good deal. That will be WRAS227 (Keffers PA / Schuykill) -- Keffers Fire Tower. I added it as Tremont PA.

454.625 LCN 1
461.450 LCN 2
464.6375 LCN 3

Thanks for that confirmation regarding the direction in which you copied it.

Still waiting on the old newmanstown LTR site to be added into system 141. That site has been off the air for over a year and was reported to be now owned by the sys141 group. Last I had heard was it was going to be site 66 or 67 on this system... anyone else heard anything? Old callsign for this site was WPMQ349..

Peter,

I just PMd you a link (to a few links) that might be useful to you, if you don't already have them. I had forgotten you were an admin and could have added the Keffers site yourself. Sorry about that.

WPMQ349 Newmanstown might be an used as a DMR 1 Freq System (Not part of the 141 CON+ System)

I know the Gap Site has 2 separate systems.

WQOS223 Triangle 463.8375 Color Code 6 DMR1
Eden Twp PW TG 1234
Fisher & Thompson Inc? TG 3900

WNBK447 Althouse Transportation 152.945 Color Code 5 DMR1 (Managed by Triangle)
Octorara School District Buses TG 1200

Has anyone been able to give WPMQ349 Newmanstown a listen?
It may already be in use..

452.050
452.825
461.125
461.375
464.600

could be LTR or DMR or both!
Cornwall, Lancaster City, New Holland, Honey Brook, Rawlinsville (aka Holtwood) are all dual use LTR & CON+ Sites.

All LTR systems on the Newmanstown tower went offline about 1.6 years ago. Was a user of the site, we had multi LTR users. We all got notices that the LTR system was going to be taken down and replaced by a networked DMR system. It has been silent on the licenced freqs since. But the licence now has DMR emissions on it, so we will see. Have them in both radios and scanners for when triangle gets the site online.

Thanks Peter,

Interesting that Triangle took out that LTR when the others around it are still active.
I suppose that they will all get shut down in time..
Holtwood & New Holland's LTR's are still quite active, Honey Brook has at least 1 user active.
Lancaster City is still online, but it's just out of my normal range, When I get out I usually hear activity on it. Cornwall is one I'm rarely within range of, So I don't know about that one.

Question

Hi all,
Noticed site 55 was posted to the DB today.
Just curious as to the LCN posted, as it does not agree with the most recent OTA repeater map.

wiki: OTA repeater map
Site 141-55 Catawissa PA (Columbia) WPVH413

LCN = 1 TX = 454.21875 RX = 459.21875 DCC = 3 CC
LCN = 2 TX = 463.61250 RX = 468.61250 DCC = 3 CC
LCN = 3 TX = 464.88750 RX = 469.88750 DCC = 3 CC

as posted RRDB:

LCN LSN Frequency Color Code
01___1__463.6125___3
01___2__463.6125___3
02___3__464.8875___3
02___4__464.8875___3

Has it been confirmed to be correct, I'm hesitant to change the LCN order in my FL.
(Not even knowing that I'll ever be within it's range, others will be)

?? Just thought I'd throw it out there ??
Thanks

I added that last night when I was overnight for business in Bloomsburg. Came in really strong there & that's the site number I got & it was ID'ing as system 141. The site was passing traffic on the Hershey Shuttle TG (3790). I have NO IDEA why that site would be passing that traffic.

When I got to my first service call down in St Clair this morning, I located a control channel for a not-yet-identified site #44 on 451.100, CC2. That's another Triangle-licensed site like Catawissa, but it's listed as being in Mountain Top.

There's no way in hell I was hearing a signal from Mountain Top down in the valley in St. Clair...

UPDATE - Well, I stand corrected on site 44! That can be confirmed as being on the air on that frequency. I'll fix the entry for Catawissa.

Sometimes I feel that way! I also managed to locate 3 more sites for the Industrial Electronics NXDN system.

I also see why I missed the first frequency on Catawissa - my SDS was still at the default of 12.5 for that band segment. I've got that changed so all of 400-512 searches in 6.25 now.

Just issued (so not on the air yet)?

I'm in the area constantly for work, so I'll keep an eye on it to go on the air & gather the needed data.

Roger that. Seems like all of the wide area systems seem to be ramping up plans, if FCC licenses are any indication. Guess they are feeling some competition from one another.

Default WRBZ805 Scranton - construction notification, etc

Folks,

If you live in/around Scranton, be on the lookout for the potential for a Scranton site to come online or already be online. A construction notification was filed with the FCC that may [or may not] suggest that the site is live or soon to be.

ULS Application - 0008358126 - TRIANGLE COMMUNICATIONS INC - Notification

Freqs:

461.6125
464.1625
454.xxxx - always a possibility of one or more 454 mhz freqs

So check out the 454 mhz band for a new System 141 Con+ control channel as well as the two frequencies on WRBZ805.

And while I'm at it, we haven't obtained a new network map recently. If you are one of hte usual guys who watches for Network Map broadcasts, be on the lookout for a new one and crab it / provide it if you can.

Thanks

As of today, that site is not on the air yet.

I did find some more previously-unidentified talkgroups coming off the Wilkes-Barre site:

3715 - School buses in northern Schuylkill County (Frackville area)
4414 - Transportation/para-transit operations in the greater Wilkes-Barre area

I'll keep an eye out for this new Scranton site. I'm up there almost every-other week.

TG 4414 is Rabbit Transit, they struck a deal out of there Schuylkill County Elysburg office, with Montour County Transit, and COLTS (County of Lackawanna Transit Services) to provide several Transit services like shared ride vans ect. to cover that Area. Rabbit Transit is slowly becoming the BORG of Regional Transit Services.

all 18 of there TG are 42xx and 44xx range on the MADRN system. and all of them are full fleet map coverage. so all TG should be monitorable over all of the SC, SE fleet map area.

Share Ride replaces services previously known as Para Transit.

See if COLTS even uses there old conventional repeater anymore, they might now be using MADRN and on the Rabbitt Transit TG's.

COLTS old ConvRptr. is 452.75000 pl 97.4

Thanks,

Repeater Map being broadcast right now. If you are around and have DSDPlus FL, tune to your most local site and snatch the map. Warning: I only saw the repeater map being sent on two of the four sites I could pick up. Due to the fact that I was monitoring during a tropo event, and the fact that the strongest sites I could monitor were right next to local 454 mhz blowtorches, I simply couldn't get good enough of a decode to pull in the complete network map and have it written to file.

Perhaps one of you will have better luck.

Mike
