Default OT: Aurora tornado

Off-topic, but from all reports it looks like a large tornado went through the Aurora, NE area tonight.

Spotter reports indicate a derailed train along HW34 west of Aurora, significant house damage in the same area, and hail damage not far west.

It was big. It kicked up a lot of debris. Couldn't really see the actuall funnel due to the debris field.

Howdy, Mr_Tunz!

Thanks for the pics - the videos on TornadoVideos.net were pretty amazing, too! It's amazing that fewer people got hurt.

I had heard about a BNSF train being derailed, and your pics definitely bear that out!
