Hard to say there is still a lot of Nebraska paging on 39.9 and 39.98. Did you hear any call signs?? More than likly it probley was Scottsbluff.

Sidney Montana comes to mind for some reason - you might want to check their freqs. (Maybe you could send them an Email and ask what time they test their pagers). Peter Sz at 909AM EDT

39.9 in Nebraska is primarily used for law enforcement, though it is possible that fire could be on it too. Without a call sign it'd be very hard to narrow down since it's use in Nebraska is wide-spread in rural areas.

FYI, 39.98 is generally used by fire statewide as 39.9 is used statewide by police/sheriff agencies.

Some Dept use 39.9 for fire paging, in the database it show's Fire Paging on 39.9 in Scottsbluff.

Yup, I agree, thats why I said it is "primarily" used for law enforcement.
