At about 2:20pm on july 24,2009 a three vechicle accident occured about 4 miles south of west point on hwy 275. A southbound 2002 chev blazer crossed the center line and struck the left rear corner of a northbound tractor trailer. The blazer then struck a northbound 2005 honda pilot headon.
The honda had 2 male and 2 female occupants. The blazer had 1 male occupant. All were transported to St Francis hospital in west point and 4 of the 5 were transported on to omaha.
The accident is under investigation by the Cuming County Sheriff's Office.
West Point fire and rescue along with scribner fire and rescue responded to the scene. The nebraska state patrol assisted at the scene also.
This is pictures of 3 Life Nets Choppers. The we're at Saint Francis in West Point. Do to the multi victim crash. As of today everyone was alive. I tried to get all three in one pic but wasnt able to do that. Also excuss my thumb in the first one.
There was one from Norfolk and I know one other was from Omaha and I think the other was either from Omaha or St Joe. But Iam pretty sure it came from Omaha cause they have 2 in Omaha. 1 at UNMC and 1 at Creighton.
The blue and white one might be Star Care, there's looks an awfully lot like that, though I do believe there is a yellow star in place of the medical symbol, but I could be wrong.
