Default Omaha Scanner

First...let me say THANKS for putting this scanner online. Have been missing it since the other site pulled the plug unexpectedly.

Second...I have tried to get to the donation page and the link posted appears to be broken.
Another place?

And I notice it is currently down. The heads up for downtime is a plus!! Thanks for that too.

It appears there is a Bellevue Police and Fire feed as well, but it is down, too.

actually the ISP plane followed it and I was able to hear them give corner by corner directions to find them in a garage. It was pretty cool.
story below

so it actually wasn't a pursuit then.
OPD and other local Law enforcement agencies do that with ABLE 1. That way if the suspect crashes that agency can not get sued because they were not officially in pursuit.

Omaha Didnt get involved until after the chase had ended. It was all on Glenwood LEA...

It wasnt really much of a chase... The Airplane maintained a visual.

A crown vic would NOT have been able to keep up. They plane had him in excess of 170MPH for alot of the "chase"

I just went thru the archives of that evening. It started at 1835 local time, and ended about 1905 local time.

Apparently, the IHP Feed doesnt include LEA.

Ummm maybe not pay your girlfriend so much??

He is an idiot.

Interesting... The pilot was radioing back to Atlantic on Glenwood LEA, Where a dispatcher was on the phone with OPD, and OPD wasnt getting very good directions.

An ISP Cruiser had to go over and talked to the pilot on 155.505 "Air" where the pilot led the ISP car who led the OPD cars to the house. I think you were hearing the OPD dispatcher give the faulty directions because the ISP Pilot didnt know where he was at.

One of the cars wanted the plane to switch to the car to car channel which is P25 Simplex, but he remarked that the plane didnt have access to that channel. I dont think that the planes have P25 Radios in them.

well being a novice at this....I was not able to decipher everything

I just heard directions being given and the pilot would say "the next driveway..yes that one"
so it sure sounded like he was able to transmit somehow

I was listening on the Iowa Scanner so perhaps that is why I heard ISP
