Default Seward County EDACS System

On Tuesday, I was traveling through Seward and wanted to listen to Seward PD on the RACOM system. However, the frequecies for the system that were used in the past were silent. I did notice that some frequencies that have been licenced for a long time were in use as part of a new EDACS system. Here are the frequencies that I monitored:

856.2625 – EDACS Voice Channel
856.7375 – EDACS Control Channel
858.7375 – EDACS Voice Channel

I was not able to fully monitor this new system, as I do not know the LCN for this system. I do not have access to Etrunker or Unitrunker available to help figure this out.

Does anyone all the frequencies for this new EDACS system and the LCN? Is this new system still tied into the RACOM system?

I will be traveling though Seward again on this Tuesday, and I will do some more monitoring.

Thanks,

Joe

I thought Seward was on the RACOM system?

I know Seward fire is 857.2625, but I wasn't aware it was an EDACS system. I don't really know for sure, I have RACOM programmed in for Seward on my scanner, but I'm just far enough away that I don't hear anything.

On occasion I hear the Seward Sheriff on their talkgroup on the Lincoln/Lancaster County EDACS system.

Seward was on the RACOM system, but it seems the old frequencies are no longer active. When I was drving through, the frequencies for this new system seemed stronger than the old system, so you may be able to hear it from Lincoln.

Hi Mike,

I have seen this license before and I have all of these frequencies being scanned, but until now they were never active.

I have determined the LCN of 2 frequencies already:

856.2625 = LCN1 (Current Control Channel)
857.7375 = LCN2

The system is showing SYSID of 31. The talkgroups that are showing up are the same as in the past, and the sysid is the same as in the past. It still appears to be part of the RACOM network, but the frequencies have change.

I will keep listening to see what I find. I wish I would have brought my scanner with a data tap so I could run it through UniTrunker!

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_0 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7A341 Safari/528.16)

I did determine the LCN today during my drive.

856.2625 = LCN1
856.7375 = LCN2
858.7375 = LCN3
859.2625 = LCN4

I will update the DB later this week.
