Default OPPD Re-Banding Underway today

Howdy, everyone!

I have it on GOOD authority that OPPD will be commencing re-banding activities today on the Murray, Julian, Gretna, and Syracuse trunking sites.

CC frequencies shift DOWN by the usual 15MHz. value.

I'm also told that Murray will be the last one to be re-banded and may be pushed to tomorrow if things can't be completed by later tonight.

Howdy, everyone!

I've confirmed that Julian has moved to 860.48750, which _was_ the Primary CC for Telbasta (Site 010) most recently.

If anyone Washington County or near Arlington / Kennard could fire-up their scanners, we could find out what the new CC is for Telbasta.

Also, as of 2220, Murray (Site 106) is still on 866.11250 - expecting a switch-out for that site tomorrow morning, or so my source indicates.

Telabsta is the same 860.4875 primary the alternate is 856.3125
Gretna lowest channels is 851.1375, that tower is done.
All that's left for OPPD is Murray tower.
Then Douglas county is the only one to be finished. I wonder if they got the radio programmed correctly.

Howdy, all!

I'm told that re-banding on the Murray site should've been completed earlier this morning. Can anyone confirm and report the frequency now in-use? If not, I'll verify it this evening and report.

Also, have been hearing traffic on OPD NW Pri Dispatch this morning relating to Officers taking cruisers to the Training Academy for rebanding work, so the re-banding for Douglas County's Simulcast system must be very close to happening.

Murray is done CC 859.4375 alternates 858.4375 859.275
Also 1005 is still active tonight
Sounds like problems on one of the ITAC channels.
OPD should be the only users left for Douglas county that need rebanding done to their radios. That may take a while. I dought that they will be done by the end fo the month, unless they have a lot of techs working on this.

As of right now the control channel for Washington County is 853.4250Mhz. Blair PD,Washington County Sheriff is talking on 851.4125. And the ID# is 2001 Hope this helps.

I did some looking at my Scanner screen and on the left side of the Frequency there are two letters that come up as "VC". What does that mean?

Voice Channel. If it's a GRE/RS unit that means an analog voice channel.

It can't be analog. It's on the ORION system.

Yeah, the only reason the scanner would show VC is if it weren't decoding the P25 properly then it would just say VC and you wouldn't hear any audio. At least that's how it works on a PRO106/197 GRE PSR 500/600.

All ORION radios that contain ITAC channels are analog modulation. When ORION was first activated, all of Irvington Vfd's portables were programmed with ITAC, and were in analog mode. However ITAC can go to digital by dispatcher and or by some other intervention, such as programming in the field.

He was listening to the trunking system. The trunking system does not support analog at all.
The ICALL/ITAC channels are conventional and are not on the trunking system. We were talking about the voice channels on the trunking system.

It sounds like Bennington PD or FD got their radio reprogrammed yesterday. Heard a lot of testing on TG 71 or 72 which is listed as Bennington PD.
