Default Fremont Officer Badly Injured

hello. this happened last week. the fremont tribune reported on it, and as usual, i expect they wont be following up on it. since theres quite a few of you who frequent this forum and have more access to LEO info, i was wondering if any of you may be able to give me some kind of follow up on this.

Police officer hurt in accident - News - Local - The Fremont Tribune - Fremont, Nebraska's Community Newspaper

the article says he was coming around a curve. i went there, drove around the curve, saw tire tracks for a block and a half straight after the curve, then saw 2 cement walls missing from the car wash. i could MAYBE understand this if it were raining like hell out, but there wasnt a drop of rain that night. i can not possibly think of any way this could have happened unless the officer was just higher then hell going 150+ mph.

so if anyone hears anything, I'M INTERESTED!!!

i do the scanner feed for dodge county and went back and listened to the archive.... pretty neat to listen to, but it didnt tell me what im looking for...

Crown Vics can't do 150mph, not to many police cars can.

The fastest cruiser I ever drove was a 1972 Dodge Polara which was measured with VASCAR
at 148.1 MPH. The car had a factory 440 cid engine with a Holley 4bbl and dual exhaust.

It was much faster than the other '72 Dodge cars in the area. Seems that the one I drove was
one of the first off the assembly line and they put a 1971 model engine left over from the previous
year. It was roughly 15 MPH faster than the other cars. Of course, we still had premium fuels
back then with octane ratings in excess of 100 or more depending on the brand.

Some California and Texas agencies had factory 440's with three 2bbl carburetors and reported
top end speeds in excess of 160 MPH.

I had a 1974 Plymouth Grand Fury with a 440. I flipped the top cover of the breather over which
still left a seal around the filter, but allowed for more air. It was a pretty cool sound when I decided
to punch the accellerator to the floor and the secondaries opened up.
