So yes it easy to put up a feed, maybe not for everyone, but for someone who has what is needed it is easy. Not to mention you get a premium membership, what is that worth?

I used to be the stream operator for the UP/BNSF rail stream over railroadradio.net.
Astrak, I did the same thing, ran the feed through my computer that I am typing this message on. No worries on the light bill, but it can be a real pain if you have an ISP that suffers from connectivity issues.
I am kicking around about restarting the feed. Only problem is my location. I am nowhere near as high up as I was in Bellevue, and rail traffic is nominal, both UP, which is a mile north of me and BNSFWB, (Burlington Northern Sante Fe Warren Buffett) spitting distance from me.
