I've been using pro96com program with my 996xt today.
I wasn't home but logged the following tag ID's affiliated with the rid's from the omaha tower
60263 rid 31746
60009 rid 38738
60005 rid 38713
3565 rid 35603
3563 rid 36561
3545 rid 36521

I'm new to this pro96com program, but here is a stupid question. How do you hear the voice traffic? The program just logs the id's with my 996xt. Can you pick up the voice traffic and log id's at the same time with a radio shack digital scanner?

No.

What I do is I program 1 control channel, let my Pro 106 scan while sending data to Pro96com. I can also hear the voice traffic with this method. Otherwise if you use the "analyze" feature, Pro 106/107 sends "pure" data into Pro96com for processing, you will not hear voice traffic this way.

Default Id 3089

I've been picking up alot of traffic (new ID 3089) day and night on the cedar bluffs tower the past 2 days. The ID 3089 must be from NSP Troop E because of traffic stops on highway numbers such as 383, 26, 92. I don't have pro96com running running right now.

We have a guess of 3089 being Game and Parks District 4. This would be the district that covers the Ogallala / North Platte / McCook area. This matches up to some of the highway numbers you mention. Game and parks badge numbers will be 7xx. Could you possibly be hearing Game and Parks on this talkgroup?

I haven't any traffic coming from the 3089 ID today. It's weird that there was a lot of traffic the past 2 days and now nothing today. I wish that I had the pro96com hooked up at the time. I recall some of the traffic I heard was a person or persons giving info with out of state plates to the scottsbluff dispatch Some 10 codes I heard was 10-98(assignment complete), 10-97(en route), 10-1(unreadable), 10-22(cancel)

Question Tg 3079

Got radio traffic on Humphrey Tower over TG 3079, Trooper assisting a party with a flat tire south of Humphrey.

I show this as a Game and Parks TG in the Troop D area? Another new Sargent area TG for Troop B?

Default Update to TG 3079

While monitoring 3079, these RID's popped up over pro96com, affiliating to Norfolk Tower:

999001-State Radio Test Technician, confirmed a while back while the techs were visiting Wayne and doing radio testing.
832338-Possible G&P Radio???

There also was a few Troopers on this TG as well.

We are seeing a lot of talkgroup changes lately. It seems that NSP is rethinking their “Sargent Area” talkgroup scheme and is going with 4 dispatch talkgroups (2 encrypted and 2 in the clear) per troop. Some of the new talkgroups have already been identified and are in use in Troop D & E.

3079 might be the new Troop B Dispatch 1 talkgroup.

I may just go along with that as well Joe. 3079 has been active all day, In fact today is the first day I have heard 3079 in use. Not to mention 3015, 3017, 3110 very active too. So far I have not seen any encrypted traffic noted on Pro96com on any of the talkgroups.

Another TG that has become active too in the past hour is 3087, maybe Troop B Dispatch 2?

The 832XXX RID might be Troop A portables that have access to both ORION and N-WIN.
132XXX-ORION RID
832XXX-W-WIN RID

Thumbs up TGID 3079 Confirmed

TG 3079 is now confirmed as Troop B Dispatch 1. Radio transmission between Norfolk Dispatch and Fire Marshall about Norden tower is now up. Fire Marshall was "calling Norfolk on Dispatch 1".

Thumbs up TG 3087 Confirmed-Troop B Dispatch 3

TG 3087 now confirmed. Radio transmission between Trooper and Norfolk using this talkgroup, Trooper was asked to "move to Dispatch 1, we are saving Dispatch 3 (3087) for operations in the Ainsworth area".

I presume TG 3087 is for the mop up of the Fairfax Creek Fire in the North Central part of the State.

Thumbs up TG 50031-Confirmed

50031-NSP Statewide Events 2

2 Fire Marshalls were on Events 1 and one of the Marshalls requested to go to Events 2 for information.

A very interesting conversation going on here. Mainly about the SRS coverage problems around the Northern Nebraska fires, using patches to link the feds/county fire agencies, etc.

I am beginning to think these are also part of the Statewide Talkgroups as well:

50003
50059

That should be a statewide event talk group for everyone who has access to the system

50003
50059
50003 Prob is Statewide Event 3
50059 Prob is a regional mutual aid talk group or a patch talk group to local counties (Sarpy?)
500XX talk groups prob are all going to be either statewide event talk groups or regional event talk groups

Still believe that 5XXyy are county talk groups, XX=County number, yy= county agency talk groups.

T/G60132
Heard off the Lincoln tower. Sounded like schools, school buses or some type of transportation. Unknown exact location the user's where.
Kinda wondering if this is a National Guard T/G and they were transporting troops/equipment to the fires. I heard this last Thursday or Friday.
