Hoover Dam

Has anyone been able to hear the APCO 25 from Hoover Dam Police as listed in the RRDB? How did you set it up as a trunked system or just a conventional channel? I have a PSR500 but I'm wondering how to set it up to hear the channel? http://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?ctid=1745

Thank you, I have never tried it out, I figure they don't have a repeater strong enough to reach the valley. I'm going over the dam Friday and thought I'd give it a try. So freq as listed conventional object set up as P25 auto or manual should catch it?

Auto works fine for me when passing over the dam.
Sometimes they do use encryption, perhaps to discuss lunch plans as some agencies do.

Worked just great!

I had no problem hearing this from the casino until I passed the AZ checkpoint. Not likely to hear it in Vegas, pretty small localized system. NAC 4CE stored into the scanner.
