I'm asking all the bloggers and users of RRDB one simple question. What is the most interesting thing to monitor in Las Vegas? Maybe that question should be tailored to What system and when is the best time? Please post your best experience with whatever system in Las Vegas area you like. Please post a few comments as well.
I'll start it off as my favorite is the NNSA and Nellis/Range VHF UHF comms. I also like the Clark County Trunked system for Fire and PD in my area (Henderson).

Please post your interests.

When I lived in Henderson, I usually had Henderson PD and Fire going, as well as LifeFlight. As far as the most interesting, I'd have to vote for the UC (surveillance) channel that was shared between Metro, Henderson and N Vegas PD. Always something going on, no real decorum involved, and was fun to follow them via Google Earth.

I enjoy listening to Metro ie at work Center Strip or S. Central and at home the Bolden area. Since Metro is going away soon, I have switched alot of my listening to Nellis AFB. Do pick up some red flag exercises tho' not as much as I would like.

I am out in Las Vegas several times a year and always enjoy Nellis and McCarran air activity. I am a fan of Red Flag and usually try to make it up to the ranges to watch and monitor.

Well, anything that trips the squelch I'd have to say. :D Been awhile, and I'm down to just a single handheld non-trunking scanner presently (old Pro-67, fairly useless for any serious monitoring) so I just do a lot of random band searches and when it stops, I'll listen for a bit. Lot of casino security traffic in the downtown area since that's where I live, Metro also, not much else.

I'm hoping to get another BC-246T after the beginning of the year so I can get back into the swing of things and get my database updated.
