For most of today and continuing as of now (1611 hours) the Henderson PD primary talkgroup of 57648 is being heard via the Oatman Mountain AZ SNACC site which covers the Laughlin area nicely and can be heard in parts of Golden Valley and Kingman.
No other talkgroups on the system other than the Clark Co School Dist. Attendance Office have been heard on the site today. In case you are in Laughlin and vicinity you have something else to monitor.
i notice their are three sites listed . Oatman , Christams tree and Laughlin should i Program all three
in to my scanner are they all active and they are Edcacs so i have to program starting in Channle one in each bank is this correct thanks for your help Rich
On the Oatman Mountain site there are two 800 trunking systems for public safety use in the Laughlin area of Nevada. The one I am talking about is the SNACC system, not the NSRS system. Most activity on the SNACC site is boring but from time to time a radio that is on that site is part of a talkgroup being used in the Las Vegas valley. This was the case last week and lasted only for a day but it was most interesting. The SNACC system is Motorola and the NSRS is an EDACS one.
thanks for your help , one more question the Nevada shared system , are they active in the laughlin Area,
dont know if i should program them into the scanner thanks for your help Rich
The NSRS is active in the Laughlin area and Oatman Mtn. covers that area nicely. You will also hear Nevada Energy (ex-Nevada Power Company) on the NSRS also. When I'm down in the coverage area for Oatman Mtn. I simply program in the frequencies used for that site (EDACS) and put the radio in search mode so I won't miss anything being transmitted from Oatman Mtn. On somewhat of a regular basis you will hear the NHP Rural talkgroup known as LV3 patched with either LV1 or LV2 which are NHP Las Vegas channels which gives you a little more to monitor. The Allied Agency talkgroup is also sometimes patched to LV 3.
