Question Green Valley Ranch

I just received a BCD396xt as an anniversary gift, but I'm brand new to modern scanners. The last time I had one was half a lifetime ago when I was in WY, and it was nothing at all like what I have now. The scanner came from AES, and they were cool enough to put a preliminary programming on it, so I'm getting SNACC, Metro, etc.

All of that seems to be working great, but I'm "stuck" out at Green Valley Ranch for at least the next week, and I'd like to know what's going on out here. I pulled down the info from the RR database and uploaded it to the scanner w/freescan, but once the programming is uploaded the system is inactive, and once I activate it I get nothing.

I'm obviously doing something very wrong, but have no idea what. Any help/advice would be very appreciated!

Try using one of the other free programs, ARC from Butel works very good. Freescan may be toggling systems off or automatically turning on the attenuator which will have effects on your scanner. Be sure to have a good look at the settings before uploading to scanner and be sure to save a backup file to your pc of the systems and groups you got from AES. Also as a footnote AES usually programs using the cc's only option. Check that too. Make sure the scanner is set to cc only for that system.

Hope this info helps.

Thumbs up Fixed it!

Thanks 737mech! I pulled down the latest version of Proscan w/a 30-day demo, deleted the system, re-imported from RR, and am now GTG!

Thanks for the advice!
