A major storm went thru the Lower Basin of the LMNRA earlier today and for a period of time the entry points into this area were closed due to severe flooding and low visibility on the roadways. Callville Bay marina has been closed to any vessels wanting to enter it and is without power. A major cleanup operation is in progress and a lot of interesting radio traffic can be found on the two primary park repeaters of 170.050 and 166.300. The storms might not be finished for the day either.

I heard this earlier today, I was surprised when my scanner stopped on that channel its only the 3rd time Ive heard traffic. They also closed off death valley? and numerous other outlying areas of Clark County. Too bad no rain in the city though..... I took a look at the weather channel and theirs supposed to be scattered thunderstorms till late Wednesday night. Hope it doesnt cause to much damage out at the lake....
