On a PD channel last night I heard transmissions that had beeps in them, like when they bleep a curse word on TV. Some were at the beginning of people's transmissions and some where in the middle of the transmissions. I even heard the dispatcher go silent in the middle of one of her transmissions. Mind you this was not a scanner problem as it was happening during the transmissions.

Today I fire up my BC346 and it seems oddly quiet, only hearing a few things even though I have a lot of banks open. I notice that the control channel is now 854.7125, yet it had been 857.1125 for months.

I also notice that it's quickly flashing a channel ID (Like UMC Trauma, NLVFD Disp, etc) for a quick second but I never hear anything, as if the frequency has changed so when the scanner switches from the control channel to the audio the frequency isn't there so it just keeps on scanning.

Anyone else having this issue?

SNACC Frequencies?

I have that same issue. I noticed the long periods of dead air and half conversations since monday. I thought my scanner went crazy, I cleared all freqs and reprogrammed..same deal.

SNACC Frequency Control Channel

The control channel has now changed to 854.4125

In my PSR 500/600 I just program all the control channels for all the sites here in the valley and you never have to worry about entering the new control channel. Just a thought.

I have all the frequencies listed on the database programmed in to the scanner, whether they're red or not. I still only have sporatic listening.

So far new frequencies are (Will update as I find them):

851.4000
851.5500
851.6500
851.9250
852.2500
852.6125
852.9125
853.8250 (In Database)

Also just found a frequency that's broadcasting some of the LVMPD info channel - 851.3750 DCS065

854.4125 is giving me all the channels being used when I have it held on the control channel. But I'm still getting hardly any audio when it's scanning or held on an individual channel.

Also add 851.1000 & 852.9750 to your list

For the PSR500 I have alist which was from the S.Nevada Scanners Book of :
853.3000 854.3125 854.4125 854.7125 856.2625 857.1125 853.7375 853.3375 853.0500 868.0500 853.5000 852.8000 867.4500 860.4625 859.9625 867.8000 853.9000 853.4000
853.1875 853.0750 With the Trunking Tables set to 800 MHz Rebanded
The last three frequencies came from the AES Radio Store on Polaris.

As 3mary2 suggested, set your scanner to monitor the system in Control Channel mode. This way you only have to program in all the control channels and talkgroups you want to monitor. The scanner will determine the correct frequencies.

FWIW, I have a BCT15X and it is tracking SNACC just fine using this method.

So just plug in 854.4125 and delete all the other frequencies? I programmed it with Freescan and "Control channel only" is checked. I've also just added the new channels to the old ones so there's 33 frequencies programmed in to the site. I've tried a bunch of different things and I'm loosing my mind. It was working perfectly fine for the last several months untill wednesday.

I'm using a BC346xt with firmware 1.05.00

I'm getting traffic on the scanner, just not all of it. I can see when it's scanning that it's flickering the channel for a split second but it's not going to it. And when locked on a channel I can tell I'm not getting the whole conversation. Here's how I have it programmed:
With Freescan:
SNACC SYSTEM:
Delay Time: 3
Type: Mot Type II/P25
off - Use Motorola Status Bit
on - Use Motorola End Code
off - Use Digital Motoral End Code
off - Enable I-Call
Emergency Alerts - 0 (Type & Level)
EDACS ID: Decimal
ID Mode: ID Scan
Tape Out: Off

SITE:
APCO Mode: Auto
Threshold: 8
Site Type: Mot 800 Standard (Type II)
Hold Time: 0
Modulation: Auto
P25 Wait Time: 0
Control Channel Only - checked
Frequencies: All in databse and posted on this thread

Looking at it in the scanner itself:
SNACC SYSTEM:
Fleet Map: Custom
Set Status Bit: Ignore
Set End Code: Yes
Set ID Format: Decimal

Site:
Band Plan: 800/900 Standard
Modulation: Auto
Attenuator: Off
Hold Time: 0

Also, does anyone know what the 853.5000 control channel is? It sounds just like a SNACC control channel and comes in full strength (Out in Anthem) but when I program that in as a control channel I hear nothing and don't see any channels. It's listed as the control channel for the Goodsprings SNACC site 6.

You want to enter ALL the control channels for one site into the system that you are using. You do not need to enter the other frequencies.

For example, if you are using site the Las Vegas Simulcast site then enter ONLY the control channels for that site.

A couple of other things to do.

First, change your Site setting in Freescan to Mot Custom/Reband Type II

Second, change your band plan. It needs to be setup as a Custom plan. You can enter this info into the table in Freescan:

Lower Freq Upper Freq Step Offset
851.02500 854.00000 25.0 440
851.01250 868.98750 25.0 0

Hope this helps!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! You have the thanks of 4 people with a combined 6 scanners.

I updated my Freescan from 2.05 to 2.08 and applied the settings listed above. That did the trick and my scanner is keeping right along with the traffic now.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.3.4; en-us; DROIDX Build/4.5.1_57_DX8-51) AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/533.1)

So I've noticed my BC246 is not working. I have it programmed as instructed above but no luck. My 346 is working like a champ but not the 246. When it's scanning and I hit Hold it just stops on a random frequency that's not the control channel. When I manually turn to the CC I hear the CC audio along with seeing all the TGID's flashing, which is the same way my 346 runs. It just seems like the scanner doesn't see the CC and is just scrolling all the frequencies programmed in and not stopping on the current CC (which is 854.7125 right now). Any suggestions?
