Very quiet yesterday, to the point I thought my scanners were malfunctioning? Long story short I found out why, there was an "Open Skies Treaty" aircraft flying over the ranges etc. yesterday. Callsign OSY33F. Must be fun to fly on one of those missions. But then again Nellis/Creech/Groom/TTR all have advanced notice of the overflights so the toys are put away doors closed. Not much fun after all and a long ride home to mother Russia. Even mother nature helped out by putting a layer of clouds in the mix. Sorry Ivan no photos for you today. :)

Open Skies Treaty

Very interesting... Where do you find info on those treaty flights?

Not sure where to dig up info on the flights? I guess google? Maybe a FOIA request at Nellis public affairs? I was just noticing for a friday things seemed very quiet on the normal freqs and then I heard this OSY33F talking to Nellis Approach on 119.35.
