I would like to put Reno PD and Sparks PD in separate banks, but using the ARC300 software when I load Sparks I get nothing, loading Reno I get both...do they share the same Frequencies or am I doing something wrong?
They are on the same EDACS system
When you do this, what happens is you miss calls. While in the first bank (let's say Reno) and a call comes in for Sparks, it is ignored. Then the scanner advances to the next bank and a call comes in for Reno and it is ignored.I don't know your particular radio or software, but if it's traditional bank and channel setup, you should be able to; each bank will have the same trunk system programmed and you would just have different talkgroups in each bank - one banks for Sparks, one for Reno.
That would not be my approach.lets see if I get this... load reno and sparks in banks 0 and 1... in bank 0 lock out sparks talkgroups, so I only hear Reno, in bank 1 lock out Reno so only Sparks is heard? My radio in a Pro164 BTW...
yeah that didnt work hahalets see if I get this... load reno and sparks in banks 0 and 1... in bank 0 lock out sparks talkgroups, so I only hear Reno, in bank 1 lock out Reno so only Sparks is heard? My radio in a Pro164 BTW...
The first one in the list is for the statewide TGs like NHP. The last one in the list is for Washoe county (Sparks, Reno, etc). So it depends on which agency you want to monitor as to which system/site to select.http://i1206.photobucket.com/albums/bb455/Jadd6810/rrquestion.png
I think I have been using the shared one, does that matter?
