I'm trying to program the frequencies from the NSRS Elko Mountain site into my scanner:

01 856.96250
02 857.96250
03 858.96250
04 855.96250
05 852.72500
06 852.40000
07 851.22500
08 851.73750c

I can't get the system to track. It seems like there are missing frequencies. When I scan the frequencies individually I am hearing parts of conversations but when I hit scan to hear the next transmission there is nothing. Has anyone else encountered this problem and if so how did you fix it?

Thanks,

Just for the heck of it, try
851.0125
851.5125
852.0125

These three frequencies are on license WQMF575 at 40-53-39.7 N, 115-37-48.2 W which is about 250 ft away (straight line using Google Earth) from the location listed for the frequencies you're using which are part of WPRY226 at 40-53-40.0 N, 115-37-45.0 W

I doubt those would help as they are for the interoperable communications, not trunking as far as I can tell...

I am not using any software. These are the frequencies listed in the database for the Elko mountain site of the NSRS. I am trying to program my Pro-95.

Make sure you are programming it as EDACS standard and starting with channel number one, not zero in the scanner. Can you hear any data type transmissions on any of the frequencies?

I noticed that the LCN order for the last 4 LCN's are in the same numerical order as the Freq I.D. on the FCC License WPRY226 posted in the database.
I have tried that in the past as far as getting the Order Correct, not once have the Added on Freqs ever have worked in that order for me.
Ive been messing around for a while with the NSRS/WCRCS Sites and when they added more freqs, what would seem to be logical to put them in some kind of order, i have not found.
The original 3,4 or 5 Channel Systems seemed to follow some kind of logic (Thats what my memory recalls).
Slide Mtn was a strange one to figure out when it was doing the same thing you are seeing, i would let it track with what i had found listed for the site and with another radio searched and found one missing freq licensed for another Site, and confused with this i tried and tried to find another freq that was supposed to be on Slide according to the FCC Database, i ended up puting that freq in where it worked the best and all of a sudden i was hearing everything instantly.
Check it out and see if there is another freq you can recieve that doesnt belong and see if it is the missing LCN.
It sounds nuts but somebody screwed that up, so it may be true on the Elko Mtn site too.
Just a thought, but it happened here on Slide Mtn.
I assume you have played with the last 4 Lcn's order and see if that helps.?????????
Just for hah hah's McClellan Pk Lcn's 1-4 use the same freqs in the same order too.

The .0125, .5125 800 Mhz Conv Freqs even though on same license, they are not part of the trunking system, they are used with the Nevada Tactical Crossband Repeaters now Statewide Interop linking VHF & 800 Mhz Calling and Tactical Channels, each site has 1 Calling & 2 Tac (3 VHF/800 Mhz) linked together 24/7.
