On Monday, Jan. 9th, the LVMPD Fiscal Affairs Committee unanimously approved the awarding of a contract to M/A Com for the new radio system. Nothing was said if it will be the Pro Voice which at the present time cannot be monitored by scanners, or a normal EDACS system which is easily monitorable.
