NLV ProVoice System

I was conducting a service search this afternoon on public safety frequencies and I was getting some traffic on the channels allocated to the ProVoice system. I set up the ProVoice system on my scanner and I'm getting the talkgroups on the EDACS system. Can anyone shed light on this?

NLVPD has no current intention on going to Pro-Voice and they continue to use the EDACS system which is part of the Nevada Shared Radio System. They have planned on joining the Clark County SNACC system but the change has not yet happened. There is some simulcast on other 800 MHz freqs. and that is likely what you are hearing. Those could become a site for the SNACC system in the western portion on NLV at some future time.
The primary site for their current system is located on Apex Peak.
