Thanks Fred.

I posted the "additional" freqs as I found them under State of Nevada in the FCC database. Just didn't want anyone to miss anything.

I'll remove the entry from additional NHP freqs.

I have a follow-up question to the update of the NHP frequencies:150.9950/155.2650/156.0450/156.0600/156.1050/156.1800/*159.1800
159.1950

What is source of these frequencues?:
FCC Data Base
Another Web Site
Word of mouth
What.

The reason I'm asking is that many people are copying old data from other web sites that are not being maintained and are out of date. Hopefully, your info is up-to-date. I've found that many of frequencies listed for the NHP for the Las Vegas do not work. I don't know what they are using theses days.

Hey Chris,

Welcome to the group.

Eagle Ridge works great. Along 80, I only heard NHP Reno traffic on the working NSRS towers, Winnemucca, Lovelock, Golconda, Elko. That was a couple of weeks ago. While in Elko, the NHP (local to Elko) was on 150Mhz freqs.

Supposedly NHP will go to the NSRS towers and there will be new TG's for an Elko division of NHP where the break between NHP Reno and NHP Elko will be I do not know. A recent traveller to Lost Wages reported NHP to be on the NSRS in Clark County. No reports of simulcasting just that NHP was heard on NSRS.

NHP between Sparks and Fernley is simulcast on Washoe County Regional Communications System. WCRCS simulcasts some Washoe County Sheriff on Eagle Ridge. The site at Patrick is the only tower that seems to be having issues as the Sparks site is now up but nothing is being steadily broadcast as of a couple days ago. The Patrick tower seems to be cycling through CC's. There is common freqs between Patrick and Sparks so this could be creating some listening issues.

I find it interesting that Patrick has as many freqs as Red Peak (5) but is "in a hole" with sites beyond have only 3 freqs. Do they expect that much traffic in the gulley over Sparks and Eagle Ridge???

I have been monitoring this group off and on since nov. 2003, just moved here in april, been too busy setting up home ect.---been scanner user for 33 years(crystal days ect.)-my primary interest is monitoring the highways for work purposes--no patience for lyon co. sheriff--makes me fall asleep(great reception)------I came from so ca. and accustomed to active radio traffic--my backyard was riverside co.(edacs),,,,san bernardino co.(motorola type 2 smartzone),,,and chp still low vhf and everyone else in between.------a bummer north nevada in disamay------I too found it strange patricks number of freq's----Ill keep you guys informed what works for me ----------------chris

BTW, before I was asked to administer Nevada......

The first time I browsed the DB I added the county info I found on this website to my WIN95 files. I'm very glad I did because somebody deleted all the county info. I have found my WIN95 database to be indispensable and use them everytime I travel across the state.

I will rebuild and repost the info to the database if I could be assured that someone won't just jump in and delete it again.
