Just as a reminder the Nellis Air Force Base is holding its once a year open house this Saturday and Sunday the 11th and 12th of November. It usually brings some good monitoring of the ground digital radio system (Motorola UHF Type II) and conventional UHF and VHF military aircraft transmissions. I usually sit outside the fenceline with my many radios and listen while watching the aerial performances. Pages 47, 48 of the Southern Nevada Radio Scanner Book seem to come in real handy during the two day event. Having a good camera as well as a camcorder add to the pleasure of watching it. Enjoy.
