Default NSRS sloan

I just started trying to take a little more time to play with my radios the last few weeks, and I just got around to trying to figure out what was going on with the sloan site. I knew that I read a new frequency had been added back in April,http://radioreference.com/forums/showthread.php?t=66835 but I was never sure if I had put it in the right place or not. (LCN).

It didn't look like there had been any resolution on this either, so I wonder what LCN everybody else is using.

In the thread I mentioned earlier edgeman was the last to post and he had added 867.3250 in LCN 10, but, it was reading as CTL 09 on his pro 97.

I bought a new USB to Serial adaptor last week at Fry's and I have been using that to program my 246t. I just started playing around with unitrunker controlling my 246t, and I am having trouble figuring out the LCN for sloan. I've got my own ideas about the correct LCN, but I want to verify it against what everyone else has. Listening and watching talkgroups on unitrunker seem to track well with my LCN. I'll post my LCN in a few days, I just don't want to "pollute the waters" you might say.

Also the scanner book I have (April 07 edition 6) seems to have come out just before this change was made, so it is slightly out of date.

Thanks Beej!

Try 867.3250 as LCN 10. It worked for me back in April.

Well the one time I think I will ever disagree with Tought life, but, when I first started rechecking everything 868.8000 was the CC in LCN 10. I have been using this setup so far and Talk Groups seem to track well through the LCN:
1 855.7375
2 857.4375
3 858.2625
4 860.2375
5 866.2875
6 866.8750
7 868.2375
8 868.5250
9 867.3250
10 868.8000

Try listening at night when a lot of the traffic slows down. You'll want to wait till late at night or early morning when there is little to no Nevada Power traffic, and NHP patches a lot of talk gorups together.

Here's a screenshot of unitrunker which makes things vey easy to see:

the Red frequency is Unitrunkers way of displaying the current control Channel, and a brown frequency is a frequency that has been used as a CC. Green is the frequency the voice radio is tuned to. Right now unitrunker is controlling my 246t, so I see the talkgroups march through the LCN and I can listen to each channel to make sure everything is good. I've also noticed that traffic coming through on 867.3250 has poor audio quality compared to the other channels.
