Default Twin State Fire Question

Has anybody heard any activity on 456.750 (database says it repeats 154.400). I also have 451.750 and I do hear mobile units talking back to Twin State. Is 456.750 the input freq for 451.750 or is 456.750 another link that i'm just not hearing and or it's not in service?

These are links to/from one of the sites for 154.400. I think at one time it was reversed w/456 sending the mobile traffic along (Downlink) and 451 sending the base traffic along (uplink).

I don't think it's a repeater, but then again, ya never know what they've done. I think you will hear dispatch if they're using a different site than the one tied to the links.

Thumbs up

+1... John is correct... Twin State does not use repeaters... Those are uplink and downlink freq's... You should only hear traffic on 456.7500 from Twin State and only when they're transmitting on that specific transmitter site... You should (and I'm sure you are) hear a lot more traffic on 451.7500.

I was told by a dispatcher at Grafton County (or Twin State... whatever you want to call them... same people behind the desk... just on a different channel)... that Littleton FD has repeaters on their apparatus that repeat portables on channel 1 (154.4000)... that's why you'll hear the MDC signalling from Littleton... How true that is, I'm not sure...
