Default Manchester and a PRO-96

So I just took full advantage of radioshack's clearance on the PRO-96 and so far I've had excellent luck with it. My only issue is getting Manchester's frequencies to work correctly in it. I already had the cable and am currently using my trial of WIN96, but when I did the web import, Manchester imported all of the talk groups and IDs but did not import any frequencies. I jumped on the site and grabbed them, but all I am getting is some static and what could possibly be a scrambled signal. I'd be more than happy to send someone my win96 file to take a look at if that would be easier.

Thanks

When programming the frequencies, did you start with Channel #01 in the bank (I.e. 001, 101, 201, etc)? If you start at #00, it doesn't take. Also the frequencies need to be in the correct order (Logical Channel Order or something labeled similar).

What I had done w/my Manchester Bank was put the Fire Department's "Tac-16" which is a conventional frequency (866.0125/156.7) in Channel 000 and then started w/the trunked frequencies at 001, 002, etc.

Hope that helps,

Dune614:

If you want to PM me with your e-mail address, I can send you my p96 file which includes Manchester as one of the banks.

P.S. I'm in L'derry also. The Manchester system is not easy to receive from there unless you have an outside antenna.

If you go to www.seacoastscanning.com, look for the files section. From here, you can d/l p96 files for what you are looking for.

That's not what I meant at all. That was part of a PM regarding something completely different. It should not have been included in that post.

I agree, this site has more information in one place than any other, hands down.

Don't mean to go off topic, but what was the deal for the PRO-96?

I had the manchester signals starting in the zero bank and they have to start in the number one bank. NYRHKY94 sent me a properly set up file (Thanks again!) and it worked just fine.
