NH Roll Call
Other state forums have done this so I thought it would be a nice thread for the Granite State. If you're willing, please list where you live and what you like to monitor.
I live in Londonderry and like to monitor most of the PD's & FD's in Southern NH, with a focus on my immediate local area. I also monitor the Northern part of MA as my work commute takes me down to Chelmsford. In addition, I keep an eye on MHT airport ATC, Operations & LEO.
Been listening to police & fire calls since the early 70's and like the hobby now more than ever.

Newbie here... using a friend's Johnson 5100 (set to receive-only) to do some limited scanning in Bedford. About ready to purchase my first scanner, likely a PSR-500 from my reading so far (and s/w for it). Don't have my ticket yet, but see that in the future.
Like Mike, I'm interested in local Bedford/Manchester PD/traffic/etc. since kids are in school here and to add my commute route (ALSO to Chelmsford, but down the Rt 3 corridor).
Looking forward to getting started and programming "special trips", like visits to Boston or Castine, ME...
This has been a great site to help me choose my scanner (and where to get it).

I live in Salem, like Mike I prefer listening to the PD's & FD's and EMT's in Southern NH, with a focus on my immediate local area. I also monitor the Northern part of MA.
I currently have an scanner, Pro-2048 which is useless for listening to most of PD's in my area since they went to P25, but its fine for FD's and EMT's locally.
I want to get into scanning more seriously than in the past, hense why I just purchased the PSR-600 which will allow a wider range of possibilities.
I have gained more incite thanks to being a member here at radio reference forums, and through the help of the many experienced people like Mike who are willing to help out the newbies to the hobby.

Campton here...
From home I listen to Lakes Region Mutual Fire Aid, Twin State Fire Mutual Aid, Lincoln Dispatch (Police, Fire, and Lin-Wood EMS), Plymouth Police, Grafton County, NHSP Troop-F...
On my ride to work I monitor all of the above plus Laconia PD, Belknap County, Concord Fire, NHSP Troop-E, and NHSP Troop-D.
I started listening in 1999 with one portable scanner. Now I have 2 VHF and 2 UHF mobile radios (1 in each vehicle), a UHF GP300, and a couple of XTS2500's (1 from each employer)... and an old Maxon SP2850 that collects dust.

New Ipswich here.
I enjoy listening to all of the HAM repeaters (I am licensed, N3LLO) as well as listening to FRS andGMRS (Licensed for that, too. WQJA763). All of the PDs and FDs I can hear from my location....
I currently have 4 BCD-996Ts and a 396T.

signing on from Littleton.
I listen to mostly public safety communications with a few others thrown in (local public works/DOT - very informative during the winter months.)
I'm relatively new to the "scanning" world. I've been doing it for about 4 years. I first sparked an interest in it when I decided to pursue a career in Public Safety Communications which I'm studying now. Plus I just think it's really cool that this little box can pick up signals in the air and make noise that we all can understand. It's pretty cool.
Take care and stay safe. Be sure to check out my online feed at Scannewhampshire.com or Scancapecod.us teamspeak server.

Londonderry here also, I listen to PD and Fire for the immediate area, but my pro-96 with the V-files are great because work takes me from Milford all the way out to the Seacoast and anything down to the MA boarder. I've been scanning for about the past 3 years, got a Pro-97 that gets dusted off for the races every year and occassionally in between.

Good Morning from Penacook (Concord), NH
I mostly listen to Fire, Railroad and some other oddball stuff. Monitor Local police only when mobile. When home it's Capital Area, Lakes Region and whatever the scanner will pick up (Goffstown area, Seacoast, Derry, Ossipee Valley on occasion).
My travels are mostly to Laconia, Keene or Merrimack and all mentioned above applies there with some extras like White Mountain National Forest, Appalachian Mountain Club, Keene State Univ and Budweiser (they don't say much).
Also try to catch some Ham Radio Traffic on the road. If it uses a frequency, I'm often trying to find it.

Mont Vernon's in the house!
I listen to public safety in the area: Hillsboro County, MACC Base, KMA, Merrimack PD/FD, Amherst, Troop B. When I can get it, I enjoy listening to Nashua PD to get a taste of "life in the big city" :-)
I spend a lot of time, mostly weekends, in Boston so I spend time there listening to BPD, BFD, etc.
I also sporadically monitor the N1IMO ham repeater network (2M and 440Mhz). And, in terms of other ham activity, I'm very active on HF in digital modes (PSK31, RTTY, etc).

Hello from Nashua NH.
I've been scanning since early 1977 when I built my first scanner, a Heathkit GR-1132 VHF-Lo/Hi/UHF 8 channel crystal scanner. I was using a tuneable multi-band portable which included VHF-Hi before getting the scanner. I soon "graduated" to an Electra Bearcat 210 around 1979. I was in high school back then. I've had MANY more scanners since.
I got my Novice ham ticket in 1983 but never used it. I upgraded to Tech in early 1984 (N1DAS) and have been active ever since. In late 1992, I got my GMRS license (KAE9013).
I regularly monitor:
Local PD
Local FD
Local DPW
State PD
GMRS/FRS
MURS
Occasional business stuff whenever I have a specific interest
Don't monitor ham radio but periodically check the bands when I feel like getting on the air.
I mostly monitor only the local PDs while mobile. I'll dial up a FD if I'm aware of something going on in the area. I also add ham radio to the mix when I feel like getting on the air while mobile.
I live in Nashua NH and work in Framingham MA, so I also monitor MA SP on 800MHz while mobile in MA. On the weekends, I'm frequently up in the Lebanon NH / White River Jct. (Town of Hartford) VT hanging out with friends up there. The only reason I don't live up there is I have to go where the high tech work is and keep the work commute reasonable while staying in NH.
Generally, if it transmits on a frequency, I'm usually trying to find it.

Hi from Concord.
John (K1LYV) and I am usually monitoring Concord area Fire, and when Concord PD was analog, them also. I monitor on my Yeasu VX-150 (2m handheld) and one of these days will pick up a p25 capable scanner so I can get back to monitoring some of the local PD freq's.

I'm from Dunbarton, I used to listed to Concord PD, NHSPD, Bow PD, Capital area fire, hospitals, etc. I have sense sold my scanner and I've been more into HAM radio, but I do have local fire and hospitals programmed into my radio, just nothing digital.
