Default Possible errors on NH database

Hi all, I've found what I believe to be an error in the NH database portion of this site. I noticed that both the New Boston (Hillsborough County) fire and Kearsarge Valley Fire Mutual Aid are on both the same frequency and tone (154.160 PL 136.5). I went up to Mt. Kearsarge and the information being sent across was definitely for New Boston, I don't know if they share the same frequency and PL, but I've never heard of any transmission other then for the New Boston FD.

Also, I noticed that under "Statewide" Hospital Control, there is a fire dispatch on that frequency. Although I'm not sure if that's in NH or not.

Just wanted to let you know.

Hey Geoff,

Good to see ya on. Turns out that Kearsarge and New Boston happen to share the same frequency and PL for 154.160/136.5. I'm not exactly sure why. I think Weare and New Boston (before Weare was on 154.250) were kind of considered part of kearsarge or something. Anyway, Kearsarge M/A uses it for fireground only, and NB uses it for dispatch. I actually should go up and put Kearsarge M/A's new channel plan in there.

The Med frequency you're talking about, is that 155.4000 (Med-5)? If so, Springfield, Vt Fire is now also dispatched on that frequency (repeater). High-Band being as tight as it is, sharing is far more common now than ever before. Keep on this stuff. Ya never know when ya stumble on the next new thing.

Stay Safe and I'll hear ya on "KVF642",

Hey, thanks for the info! I never really listened to much on 154.160, but whenever I do it's always New Boston. When I hiked up Mt. Kearsarge I was receiving the 154.160 a full S9 with my HT, IIRC they were calling New Boston, the NB antenna isn't on Kearsarge though is it?

As for the hospital control frequency, I believe it is 155.2800 (Med 3).

Off-topic, but what repeaters (if any) do you usually monitor? I'd love to catch up and talk to you on the air.
