Default Is It Possible To Receive Frequencies From The Entire State?

I am new to listening to the scanner. I am trying to receive frequencies from all over the entire state, anyone know if that is even possible without putting up a skyscraper for an antenna?

Thanks!!

Your analogy would be correct about the skyscraper. What type of antenna are you currently using?

The topography of NH would limit your reception, unless you are on top of mt washington. Antenna, elevation and receiver are key.

Short Answer..No. The only three places where it may be conceivable would be Mt Belknap, Mt Kearsarge & Mt Washington in that order. And all have some limitation. Between Topgraphy (as mentioned), the Granite, and varying signal strengths of the various systems, there is likely no where.

Mcwebsitedesign:

Alternatively, you "can" listen to other people's scanners from every county in NH with the exception of one at:

New Hampshire Live Police, Fire, and EMS Scanners

I know it's not what you're really asking for, but I couldn't resist ;-)

Hi,
Thank you for your help. I am currently using a very amature set up that consists of my portable race scanner and a J-Pole I bought on eBay.

Well, thanks for that link! That is very cool! Is there any way to listen to multiple feeds at the same time on ScanAmerica? I'm assuming not.

Well, anyone in the listening area of the Southern end of NH (Manchester and South) that listens between 7am and 6pm (approx) on weekdays that would be interested in a business partnership?

Sure would be cool to have an online programmable scanner! That would solve my problem.

Yes, you can listen to multiple feeds at the same time. You can run multiple instances of the WinAmp player on your PC and have each one broadcast a different feed. The sound from each instance will play over the computer's speakers independant from one another.

P.S. Please note that the more feeds you have running at the same time on 1 PC, the more difficult it is to distinguish between them when the feeds are broadcasting simultaneously.

Search for the ProScan client, when you load it you get a list of Proscan servers. Some of them are in Southen NH and show the scanner face so you can identify the transmitting agency. There a couple that monitor Nashua and Manchester along with surrounding areas.

I stream statewide NHSP WITH alpha tags and no ads at scanner

For the select few, I also offer a programmable option where you chose what you want to hear. If you use firefox you need the IE tab plugin.

I believe Epping PD is still dispatched by Rockingham County Sheriff. Don't know if they have a daytime dispatcher.

154.9500 NAC-117 is Rock "A" and should be Epping's Dispatch frequency.
154.8150 NAC-117 is Rock "C" and is Countywide Operations repeater.

You are correct, they are dispatched by Rockingham county, they do not dispatch themselves. The other Rock frequency for the East side is 155.415. They are all P25.
