I watching live TV converage via NBC in California. They report 146 passengers and 5 crew members on board. It is a US Airways jet from La Guardia to Charlotte SC. They say the plane was put down on the water after a bird strike (although the strike must have taken out both engines).

I'd love to hear/read reports from those with scanner feeds in the area. Either aviation or EMS. THANKS

Sorry Scanner Freak , Didn't see the post already posted not everyone goes to the New Jersey forum, but anyways that was a flying angel from the good lord above. I am glad they all made it out safe and alive to enjoy another day.
