Default UFOs in North Jersey

B2-04 Central getting several calls on 8-10 "as of now Unidentified Flying Objects" heading east toward 280. Reporting several cars stopping to get out and look at the lights in the sky. One officer advised they must be helicopters because they were currently stopped. Another seemed to be saying "whatever they are they're aren't aircraft."

Wasn't there a spate of these sightings over a month ago?

Most facinating...

That was up in Morris County. They were classified as road flares tied to helium balloons. Although no flres or balloons were ever recovered..... :-)

Yes, I heard about that. That seems more logical then what we have up here.

Interesting that that weird guy with the baseball hat from UFO Hunters jumped all over this...but only seemed to interview the people who said that it DIDN'T look like flares.

It was finally determined to be a hoax if I am not mistaken.

Cool Lol

this reminds me of something my dad and I did down in Marco Island Florida a few years back. we went to the store got a sturdy kite and a few glowsticks, one nite while alot of people were out at the pool for a party we went far out on to the beach tied the glowsticks to the kite and flew the kite over the hotel and over the pool area. when we were done we headed back to the pool area and saw alot of people still looking up at the sky for the lights and people chating about what they saw lol.

There were recent reports in the Star-Ledger that weather balloons were plaguing Essex-Morris area skys and interfering with aviation in that area.

Default UFO's in North Jersey

As stated in the thread, it has been determined that many of the reported sightings have been found to be hoaxes.
