Very nice! I know that Hunterdon is working quickly to finish the new dispatch center, and that they would not work on the deployment of the new UHF system until that was complete.

It appears that they are now doing what FDNY is doing with their new narrowband UHF fire channels - simulcasting to check coverage & dead spot issues (I love it - I can hear those new channels all the way out here, and I can finally have FD, EMS, & PD all in one radio).

I heard some activity today on 472.6125 DCS243. I didn't hear any voice, just someone keying up.

I just got word that this is a test setup to test coverage, and that this may not even be the final channel configuration.

I see Hunterdon has just filed for numerous MW hops.

ULS Application - Microwave Public Safety Pool - 0003875179 - County of Hunterdon

It appears this is not related to a backbone for the new UHF system, agree?

Best guess is they are for phone and internet.

yes it's a private wireless data network to link all the county buildings together. there is one tower up at the Rt12 county complex and one down by the social services building. they are the only two relay stations i've seen so far.

Looks as if scanning the hunterdon county UHF system is going to be all over when it's fully implemented.

See Excerpts from....

PURCHASING, John P. Davenport, III
