Default Oc trs down

OC TRS is down, technicians are working on it. Some calls are being dispatched through SPEN 1, while county is communicating with SPEN 2 and 154.965 & 506.7375.

Also, there is just an open carrier on 508.1875 & 155.205.

Wow, I am on Mapletree and see the tower and communications building from my room. How in the world did I miss that lightning strike?

Yep, I was having problems with Fire Zone 1, Island Heights Police group and Sheriff Dept #2 group. All were staying open.

Yes. Ocean County. I too was monitoring when they got hit and stayed with it until around 11:30 or so, not sure exactly, when they got things back up and running to a certain extent.

The whole system went down. There were no control channels or open carriers for failsoft mode on any of the channels. I don't think UHF-1 was initially working, either. OC-ALERT and EMS-1 were down, also.

For a very short time period, I'd say no more than a minute or two, my radios did say they were in Failsoft mode. Actually, just checked Trunk88, and found the following (I did remove some comms/affiliations):
Code:
 23:43:22 Current zone (#1); Alternate ctrl chan = 527 (506.8375 / PCN3)
 23:43:22 Features: None (in FailSoft)
 23:43:22 Current zone: Failsoft
 23:43:23 Diagnostic: (8A30) Channel 1 RIB Enabled
23:43:24 Status change: Secure channels available
 23:43:52 Current zone (#1); Alternate ctrl chan = 527 (506.8375 / PCN3)
23:43:52 Features: Digital and Analog voice, Wide area trunking
23:43:52 Current zone: Wide Area Trunking
Looks like Failsoft only lasted for 30 seconds.

Yes, the system did eventually go into failsoft mode. Initially, however, it was just out completely. Thanks for the paste from Trunk88. Interesting information.
