Question Denville Police on 460.625MHz PL 141.3 ??

I was drving behind a Denville Officer today using my Uniden BCD396T, and close call picked up 460.625 MHz with a PL of 141.3 I only heard the very last word of what ever he said so I have nothing to go on as far as conversation. Is anyone aware of Denville using this freq and tone? I know they use 45.98 PL 127.3 and 45.64 PL 82.5 because I hear them all the time. Anyone know who (IF NOT THE OFFICER) would use this freq? I found (in another thread) that Westport Ct FD uses this freq, but they couldn't set off my close call while I'm on Route 46 just before the Rockaway border.

Very good possibility you picked up a crossband repeater that goes to 45.9800 127.3 from 460.6250 141.3 . These are usually very low power, never in excess of 5 watts so no license is required by the agency using them. Most of them are 2 watts at the most.

How many UHF antennas did you see? There should be at least one for MIRS. The FCC does not list any licenses for that frequency in Morris Co.

I was in Denville just an hour ago, and didn't hear anything. But then, I wasn't near / close to the car that was transmitting. All transmissions I heard were on 45.98. I did hear 200 do a test count.

There were 3 antennas...One looked to be aprox 16 inches, another about 3 inches, and one was about as long as a cb antenna.

Low band is around 35"-40", VHF is the 16" one and the 3" is UHF, which is the MIRS radio.
