Default Hopatcong Boro

Anyone know if anything has changed with Hopatcong Boro? I live in town and have not heard anything in weeks - they used to be on 185.850. I don't want to hang around the police dept. with my scanner on Close Call. Tried removing the PL, but I still hear nothing. Then again, it could be that nothing much is happening, but three weeks!! Thanks for any info you may have! Paul

Hopatcong PD is 158.85 PL173.8. I'm listening to them now.

Default Hopatcong

Thanks! I have the same (and many scanners) - perhaps I'm not listening in at the right time.

Best!

EJM, Sure you're not hearing Byram, Andover or Stanhope? I believe Sparta now dispatches for these as well as Hopatcong. Hopatcong mobile units announce themselves as "3300".

Hopatcong dispatches for Stanhope Boro-2300, Hopatcong Boro-3300, Byram Township-4300 Cars. The Borough Council shelved the idea of having Sparta Township dispatch for them, because Sussex County is looking at combining the six (6) PASP's into two or one.

OK, I'm with you on that, but I don't seem to hear any 3300 talk on ANY of my scanners, which is very odd. May well be some HUGE oversight on my part, but I can't imagine what that would be. Thanks for the info, EJM, I thought the Sparta dispatch thing was a done deal.

Of course I do, my friend. And I have many scanners and I still do not hear anything from 3300 units. My old Rat Shack PRO-2042 doesn't even have PL, and I hear nothing from the 3300 units on 158.85. Am I crazy? Like I said...perhaps I'm hitting the wrong times whem I'm listening, which is often.
