Default Union Township problem

Union Township Trunking System, Union Township, New Jersey - Scanner Frequencies

Ok so I have a RS Pro-164. I have it setup as the listing describes and can hear most of the chatter, but there are times when I see the channels pop up but I hear no talk and miss the rest of the conversation.. The listing has LCN #6 blank, so do I need to keep it as 0.0? Do I need to lock it out?

I have the trunk setup as ED as follows:

800FM - 0.000
801ED - 501.6375
802ED - 501.9625
803ED - 502.1125
804ED - 502.7125
805ED - 502.9125
806Se - 0.000 (Shows up as 806Se)
807ED - 501.2375

I also tried to add the secondary LCN the author has in there as LCN #6 but no change. Any suggestions? Do I have this setup right?

Default Union EDACS System

I work in Union and use a Pro-106. I do not have the unconfirmed control channel programmed into my scanner and did not use the 0.00. Just program in the rest of the control channels and it should work fine.
Just keep in mind that this radio system has all of the municipal agencies such as public works and the board of education on it as well as the PD & FD. Union is very busy at times and it would be best to lock all of the talk groups other than the PD & FD so you do not miss anything. Hope this works for you.

I added in that unconfirmed LCN to channel 6, and I forgot to change it to ED. It looks like it improved but I still see LCN 6 and 7 become active but with no conversation. It's all coming in from Police. It looks like theres converstation being missed. For example I'll hear the officer call in a traffic stop on LCN 4, the dispatcher's response comes on 5, but then I'll see 6 become active but not hearing the response. I will hear the dispatcher say "received" so I know it's not a problem on their end.

So should I just move LCN 807 up to 806 and delete 807?

Default Union EDACS

If you have not tried that already I believe that should allow you to hear everything.

I have a close friend that's a UPD patrolman. His wife is a dispatcher, and one of his best friends is as well. They all have said that the system currently uses the 7 frequencies listed, and that the way the LCN is posted here on the database should be correct (I had him over my place last night updating all the current D-STAR stuff in his IC-2820, and we were discussing this).

I won't even go into some of their true feelings about the system!

I was ok until I read this, so, 501.1625 goes in LCN 06 the database has it as unconfirmed (Site 2) and a note says it will be used in the futrue.
